About Us
IMC Connect! is an annual, two-day event hosted by the University of Mississippi School of Journalism and New Media. It is planned by Dr. Amanda Bradshaw and graduate students in her IMC Event Planning course. This event includes workshops and topical panel sessions stemming from leading trends in IMC. Its purpose is to bring together expert practitioners and researchers in relevant integrated marketing communications (IMC) fields. With the panels, there are also meals with invited guests, breakout sessions, and more!
Each panel deals with different topics within integrated marketing communications including social media and analytics, crisis communication, advertising, and social justice within public relations. Through these panels, academic researchers and industry practitioners discuss their opinions, perceptions, and insights within their respective fields. This facilitates connection and collaboration between academic researchers and industry practitioners. Not only are connections created between the experts, but also students within the School of Journalism and New Media. Panel sessions are open to the entire school and the breaks between panels lead to conversation and connection between university students and the expert researchers and practitioners.

Dr. Amanda Bradshaw and the graduate students in her Event planning course work extremely hard and diligently throughout the semester to make this event come to life. Without their hard work and dedication, the connections between researchers, practitioners, and Ole Miss students would not be possible. To gain a deeper understanding of this event, take a look at the video below from the first-ever IMC Connect! that displays academic researchers and industry practitioners opinions and insights regarding their respective field.
